Hi Everyone - Looks like our members might have started taking vacations or maybe they are outside catching up on yard work. In any case, it was a slow couple of weeks in the gallery. I'll highlight the two images that stuck out for me: I like this photo by dandc for the great setting - the high grass and the barn in the background make the bird seem a bit out of place. I'd expect to see it near water, but there is none to be seen. It looks like it is out for a stroll around the farm!
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi by kathylee . Photos take us to new places and this one took me somewhere I didn't know anything about. It made me read a bit more about it. On top of that, it is a beautiful photo devoid of distractions.
Thank you to our members who posted images and I hope to see more in the coming weeks!

Congratulations!
P.s. I think the link to Kathylee is wrong? It directs me to dandc gallery.

Thanks for judging, Andy. Although there were not many images submitted you have selected two fine ones to add to the IOW Gallery. Congratulations to Dan and Kathy. I Like both of your images for the reason's Andy cited.

Thank you for recognizing my picture. It was good to hear you were interested enough to get more information about it, it was truly an amazing place, it is hard to find words to describe. It was well over a mile to walk to it in almost one hundred degree temps and over 86% humidity all while having heads, shoulders, legs, knees. ankles and toes covered, it was well worth any discomfort. It is amazing that there are no distractions as the place was overcrowded with people. Great picture dandc.

Thanks for judging this time Andy and for including my shot among your picks. This Heron kept showing up on our hike thru a nearby regional park - there is a small creek nearby but it was mainly hunting in the grassy area, beside cows and a horse ranch in the background. Congratulations Kathylee - what a striking and Grand place!
