Many have commented on the wildlife in our area. Thanks. Now before you think we live in a remote wilderness (with moose and bears everywhere ) I need to say that until 2022, I had not seen a grizzly bear for ~65 years despite going to Waterton Lakes NP quire often. Just black bears there ... some of which are brown. I saw two grizzlies N of our summer place in 2022 and again two young ones two weeks ago. Today, I saw six grizzly bears at one time and it was a huge treat! These photos were taken at 450 and 500 meters away so poor quality. These bears were on private land and swam across to a protected area. Six in the river at one time.

What a breathtaking sight. You are so lucky to have been at the right place at the right time.

anyone seen the sleeping bear looking down on them from the cliff side in the 1st picture. Not, I. Even after you have called our attention to it, Jim.

anyone seen the sleeping bear looking down on them from the cliff side in the 1st picture. I see eyes and sort of faces in the cliffs. But not a bear. I'll have a closer look. Good eye Howard. Thanks. EDIT: Ooops. That part was not in the posted photo.

look at the two left bears then look up at the cliff in your 1st picture Got it. That's sort of neat that we can see faces of bears in the cliffs where there are bears. Thanks.
