Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

Summertime is when the corn starts to get high in the traffic control planter. Thanks for the theme Sepiana.

A popular time of the year visit the beach - in this case Lake Huron: And nearby a good spot to watch boats entering the river from the lake: And a Canadian summertime tradition: visit the chip wagon for some greasy food! Tony

And nearby a good spot to watch boats entering the river from the lake: Is that a somewhat rare design for a Great Lakes ship Tony? I usually expect to see the traditional "Laker" style vessels with the controls above the bow. Wonderful photo!

Thanks billz - I hadn't really noticed but now you mention it I think most of the newer cargo ships on the Great Lakes look like the one I saw today with the bridge and the engine at the rear while the classic lakers have the bridge at the front and the engine at the rear - like the Edmund Fitzgerald . I'll have to see if there's a reason for the change. Tony

Summertime is when the corn starts to get high in the traffic control planter. Bill, this is quite an unusual location for growing corn. Great job capturing this summertime "event".

Tony, you raised the bar here with this wide variety of summertime interpretations. I envision a collage on the make.
