Thought some of our members might want to try to get out with their camera today for World Photography Day. While this article indicates the theme is Landscapes, I did see somewhere else that it was Understanding Clouds. Your choice what you submit. Your picture should be taken today. Not sure if I will get out for something but perhaps others will.

Thinking about Landscape as a topic, I remembered a number of years ago being part of an on-line group headed by Anne Mc Kinnell. We would be given different assignments. One of these was " Intimate Landscapes. With that in mind, I thought I might take a walk around our property to see if I could find something that might fit that title. Not sure how successful I'll be but thought I'd share in case anyone else might to try this approach.

Very inspiring, I like the idea of capturing the small things around us that we all take for granted.

All photographs fit the topic well. The ones with trees in especially so. It's the 'well-established and a little wild' look to them that really I like. The fence has turned a great colour and the ivy enhances it. Everything in the area is so good for wildlife too. I expect the bees like the flower.

I like the idea of capturing the small things around us that we all take for granted. Thanks, Jacki. I can go out shooting for an hour or more and come home with nothing I like. I was out for a short time yesterday and had a lot of fun looking for these "intimate landscapes".......or however else they might be described. It's the 'well-established and a little wild' look to them that really I like. Thanks, Mart. I appreciate your thoughtful comment.
