I have been using Elements 9 for a number of years with no issues but the past few days I am getting an unusual but really annoying problem. When I want to resize a photo I always use the width and height boxes at the top and the crop tool from the left hand toolbar. Whenever I type in a value in the width box (e.g. 1200 pixels) Photoshop immediately changes it to 0.333cms and throws up the error notification you can see in my attached screenshot. I have been happily using this method of resizing for years without this aggro! Anyone got any ideas please? *EDIT - sorry, only just noticed that the screenshot I attached is displayed a lot smaller than the image I posted and it is almost impossible to read the error message. It states "A value between 0.335cm and 1058.333cm is required. Closest value inserted."

When a tool develops an abnormal behavior, Adobe recommends resetting it. Let's try resetting the Crop tool. 1. Click on the tiny downside arrow to the left of "Aspect Ratio" in the Crop tool bar. 2. Select "Reset Tool" from the drop-down menu. 3. Try the Crop tool again. See if the problem is gone.
