What kind of birds are they? ______________________ When we had that kind of porch, DH made a trough on the top of the rail and filled it with nuts and seeds. Of course, the squirrels had a wonderful time, but they left enough for all the birds that visited out house. Wisconsin birds - bottom photos are mine - others are from various sites - however, I didn't keep track of where the photos came from - this is a very old layout

What kind of birds are they? They're Kookaburras. Carnivorous native birds that live in family groups. Cute but formidable!

Alfred Hitchcock remade in Australia. I just recorded that movie a couple days ago to be watched at my convenience; "The Birds".
I watched it many years ago, when I was about six, and it left a lasting impression on me.

I watched it many years ago, when I was about six Me too, perhaps when I was 8 or 9. I remember my mum saying I might want to look away at the scene with the woman's eyes. The way the tension builds is still impressive.
