But before I get to that, one question I do not believe I have ever asked... my full size picture in pixels is 6960 X 4640
Is there a best size to post new pictures here to get the best help needed?

Is there a best size to post new pictures here to get the best help needed? I think (??) imgbb maxes the image size to the viewing screen. If you are using imgbb, I'd suggest at least 4K or 3840 pixels along a longest side if it is a landscape photo. If it is square, I think 2160 would be suitable being the max height of 4K screens. Perhaps try a couple of sizes. Clive PS: I got up at 5 AM today and looked outside. Wow, the moonlight was so bright!

I do not know what you mean by imgbb or what you mean by try a couple of sizes. imgbb is the image hosting service available here on PSEM. You have used it a few times. Good luck. Clive

OK Clive, So when you said "I think (??) imgbb maxes the image size to the viewing screen." what does that mean? I reduced the image to 1/2 size 3480 X 2320 Does any body here feel this image could use any sharpening done to it? I used to own the Topaz sharpening tool, but I have lost the License Key so I guess I would have to buy it again. I am thinking the last time I bought it, I did not buy it from Topaz which was in 2020 for $49.00 so the only sharpening tool I have right now would be PSE 2021 Overall I do think my image looks pretty good. What do you think? I took this picture last night. This is Straight Out Of Camera SOOC

the only sharpening tool I have right now would be PSE 2021 Charles, Elements offers more than one way to sharpen images. You just have to experiment and see which one will work best on your image. Tools Panel > Sharpen tool (shortcut = R)This tool is designed to sharpen details (specific areas) in your image rather than sharpen the entire image. You drag this brush over the areas to be sharpened. Enhance > Unsharp MaskAdjust the sliders until you like the resulting sharpness in your image. Enhance > Adjust SharpnessBack in Elements 13, Adobe "renewed" this feature. Now it gives you much more control. There are new settings which allow for a more accurate sharpening. They enable you to sharpen the dark and light areas in your image (Shadows/Highlights). Filter > Other > High PassThis filter (applied on a duplicate layer) allows you to adjust the layer's opacity. The usually recommended layer blending mode is Overlay.

Charles it might be possible that it is your camera setting. Sigma states an aperture of f8 when using this combination not f13. A shutter speed of a 50th of a second at 1200mm+ your crop factor. Your 32megapixel image my 24 megapixel full frame in Black and white

Frank,
Is your image SOOC or did you do some work on the image to change it more than mine since mine was SOOC?

I've taken a few moon shots this year and found them not as sharp as I would normally expect using the same camera, lens and settings. And my usual sharpening go-to (Topaz) didn't work as well as I would have expected. I put it down to the haze from the forest fires that has been around for most of the summer here in Ontario. Hopefully things will clear up soon.

Inspeqtor , Tony has made a good point. Also, remember that you also have the option of posting your moon photo on the Member to Member Advice Bd. I don't use PE, but members that do, may be able to give you some guidance using the tools that Sepiana mentions above.
