Perfect colors for your page. Nice layout and fonts.

Halloween was not a thing when I was young, but now it’s everywhere in Australia and I’m sure the kids who participate in the ritual have no idea about why. It’s not really a Southern Hemisphere affair. There’s a house near me that always puts on a great display, I will try and get a photo.

Jacki - that was interesting. Guess I never thought of what regions would celebrate Halloween.
Then I realized I didn't know where the celebration came from, so...
The Halloween holiday has its roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (a Gaelic word pronounced “SAH-win”), a pagan religious celebration to welcome the harvest at the end of summer, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.
In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor saints. Soon after, All Saints Day came to incorporate some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before All Saints Day was known as All Hallows Eve, and later, Halloween.

A nice composition that has a glow to it. Not too early at all. Halloween was just a date in a diary that nobody did anything about when I was young ..but that was a very long time ago.

Trick or Treat and Halloween parties at school where you dressed up in your costume and received a Giant bar as your 'treat', were a big part of my youth - oh so many many many many years ago. The candy store, Half Nuts, where you can now get this 100 year old treat (well, the actual candy bars you buy are not 100 years old ) is in a suburb of where I grew up and the original Ziegler factory was a few blocks from my house -- no wonder we had Giant bars - they were local. Now that I read up on this, I remember the factory being in the neighborhood. It's such fun re-living the past. "The Ziegler Candy Company closed in 1977, but the Zieglers at Half Nuts bring you the original Giant Bar. Poured in the original molds, with the original recipe... they taste exactly like they did when you got them as a kid!"
Interesting that the person who designed the Half Nuts website did such a poor job of extracting this candy bar

Trick or Treat and Halloween parties at school where you dressed up in your costume We did as well, Janice.....and so did our daughters. The last district I taught in took it one step further. Teachers and children in the lower grades paraded around the school. Surprisingly, I have never heard of a Giant bar!
