These shoes are a good few years old now (as the toes show). I sometimes wear them to places where shoes are more suitable. Casual but not dressed up ..and to show that I don't wear trainers all the time. Funny thing about them is I've often been asked where I got them? I didn't think they were all that special, not enough to be occasionally asked about them anyway. It was a Clarks shoe shop. Clarks shoes are known for their good quality. Still reasonably OK after all the time I've had them anyway.  Edit: Oops! Forgot the conversion to black and white. Well ..it was fairly early in the morning here.  |

Saw this roofer today. According to him these old worn shoes are safer when working on a roof. Good for you Helen for getting the shot! |

Thanks, billz . I am not really comfortable approaching people to take a photo but as soon as I asked him he said he would do his Elmer Fudd pose. I never thought to see if I could find what he meant until I saw your post. I think he did pretty good  |
