I thought it was about time I started my walks in the woods again ..and so I did. Took lots of photos using my Canon Powershot SX260 HS. I thought these two would make good black and white photos..

Nice choices, mart44. I especially like the way the leaves spread across the top one.

Thanks Helen - Those leaves still hadn't fully turned colour (the ferns had). It's been an unusually warm Autumn with lots of rain but also plenty of sunshine. I think much of the flora doesn't realize what time of year it is.

Looking at this more closely I see that some of the leaves have sunken in the water while some still float on top.....something many of us may see but not think to photograph....nice addition to this thread, dandc.

Lots of fallen leaves along this trail on today's hike: Tony

I like the amount of space you gave the leaves in the foreground..... gives the viewer the feeling of being on the trail.

Noticed the leaves covering the lawn of this home this morning....and it looks like there are just as many if not more that haven't fallen yet.

The leaves had definitely all gone from this ancient oak tree - couldn't resist a shot of its gnarly branches on a really clear day. Tony
