Many times, I have heard that things posted on the internet are there forever; I have seldom found that to be the case.
I was nosing around and found the links pointing toward the PET magazine archives; alas, they must no longer be.
As per HERE, the links are dead soldiers.
I tried several workarounds and always got reverted to the home page for the host site.
Likewise when I try to access from the GOODIES page.
Is this information gone forever or just relocated and the links need be edited to reflect the change ?
Thanks.

EDIT: I read this far too early this morning and perhaps misunderstood your question. I thought you were referring to websites in general. I will leave my comment up for now. "The wayback machine"" will help. URL is below. Open the website and paste a URL into the search window. If the web page was "logged" (probably) you will see a timeline of the page history. Sone formatting will likely be lost but the basic information shown. archive.org/web/

BuckSkin. I have downloaded issues from 2004 - 2010. I just tried to add them to my dropbox but ran into a snag. I don't have time to figure out how to do it now but will try later. Maybe with some help from our computer guys. Is there a particular issue you were looking for? I have hard copies of many of the issues.

Is there a particular issue you were looking for? No particular issue.
I just meant to check it out and see what it was all about and maybe glean something(s) from it that I could use.

Chris , I did a cut&paste to one of the URLs that Jim provided and found the issue you asked for:

Hi all,
I pulled the pages from the CDP website, largely due to non-interest in those pages -- they really weren't being looked at, other than a couple of hits a month. And mostly, it was people downloading the entire set in a single download. I'll figure something out in the next week or so, even if it means just reposting the pages.
best, Rick LePage PET et al

Thank you very much Rick! There was some interest expressed here, which is what promoted my inquiry. The larger question that I would appreciate the answer to is what is your position these days about redistribution of the issues of PET.

Thank you very much Rick! There was some interest expressed here, which is what promoted my inquiry. The larger question that I would appreciate the answer to is what is your position these days about redistribution of the issues of PET. Hi Tom, I've been doing a bunch of different stuff the past 10 years. My first wife – who was my light and inspiration – passed in 2013, and I had a tough time afterwards in many ways. Crazily, I met another wonderful woman and remarried at the end of 2014. We went off on a number of adventures in our travel trailer, and ultimately settled in eastern Oregon. I couldn't find a real job anywhere in 2017 when I returned from traveling, so I produced and published a number of books written or compiled by friends of mine (the Complete Digital Photography website that hosted the old PET issues has info on two of the books I worked on), and I now teach photo workshops and offer photo instruction with my old friend Hudson Henry (hudsonhenry.com). He does 8-9 workshops a year, and I'm his workshop coordinator and man Friday. It's a nice thing to do, and it keeps me shooting. I miss the old PET days, and wish I had been able to buy it back from the folks who bought it from Kelby, but my head wasn't really in a good enough space to take such a job on. (The fact that Adobe withdrew all support for us didn't help -- I wasn't expecting cash, but I wanted them to keep with the promotional stuff they did during the years I was the editor and publisher. Sadly, they just didn't feel that they had to help in any way. C'est la vie.) I'll put the basics of the PET issues in a read-only Dropbox folder for now, and will think about a more permanent offering somewhere. The CDP website is flaky, and requires a complete rebuild from the ground up, and it's low on my list of things to do, if I'm honest. I hope all my friends from the past are well. I have to say that I remain a bit surprised that Adobe still waters Photoshop Elements; I don't use it any more, but hopefully it's useful to some out there. All my best, Rick

Here is a link to a Dropbox folder called 'PET-issues' -- it should be a read-only folder, and anyone with the link can see and download from it with their web browser. It contains an index of all 85 Photoshop Elements Techniques issues, biennial folders with PDFs from 2004 through 2016, a folder with extras for each issue, and a folder with Zip files for all of the above. Please remove any other links you might have had for PET -- I tried today to set everything back up on CDP, but it just isn't working correctly. If I find a permanent home for the issues, I'll post info here, but I would say that, if you want the issues in your collection, download them now. I will leave this link up as long as I can. If there are any issues people run into, please let me know -- it should work without any hiccups, but you never know. best, Rick LePage former editor/publisher, Photoshop Elements TechniquesAnd...please remember that the copyright continues to be held by the respective authors and photographers.

Thank you - I have so many issues from "back then" I don't use Elements but the information carries over to PS in many cases!

Thanks so much Rick - I greatly appreciate you posting those for us! I will make sure I appropriately communicate the link and the copyright issues to our members.
