Did not have the skill to shoot the eclipse but had fun capturing people watching it.

It got dark here but not as dark as I expected. Check out the pictures on the Sandy Hook FB page. They had a watch party. Nice capture!

I found it disappointing. The hype was way over the top. We were just shy of totality and I have seen more darkness when a cloud passes over. Oh well. 🤷♀️And the traffic!!

We were at 99.3% with few clouds overhead and it was quite eerie with the birds, which had been noisy, going silent for several minutes. Took a few photos of shadows which were a bit different than normal. The hotels in the 100% zone to the southeast of us certainly did very well out of it. Lots of stories about crazy prices.
