My photo club has a monthly meeting with a suggested theme, May's theme was floral/spring. I decided to use an older raw image and present a before and after as one submission. My focus was the bee pollinator on the thistle in a natural setting. On1 PR provides the linear raw option when editing a raw file. I generally choose that rather than the many camera and On1 options available. The left hand is a screen capture of the raw image and the right is an export to jpg of the edits; I used On1's compare to display both images. - Cropping used Golden Ratio
- Noise reduction built in
- Exposure slightly increased whites, reduced blacks, increased contrast
- Local adjustment increase brightness and detail - selected thistle using a color range mask, then added the bee to that mask
- Local adjustment decrease brightness, saturation, and detail on background - inverted the mask from above
