Although I seldom have my phone when I go to the pool, I had my purse with me because I was going out after pool time. There are many things I miss photographing because I don't have a camera, but when things happen and I can photograph them, I am so pleased. I love when photos provide me with a scrapbook 'story'Brad was in the hot tub at our community when this duck family decided to follow me as I went from the swimming pool to the hot tub. As I settled in, mom hopped in and the kids followed (I'm not sure why mom even stayed in - the water was quite warm) Well, I think she decided it was too warm, hopped out and realized the kids could not make the jump to get out of the hot tub. One baby was trying to jump out, but he kept crashing. The others just watched him. I'm guessing he's going to be the adventurous one in the family. Brad decided if he put the chaise lounge on the stairs, they would be able to use it as a ramp. At first he had it too high, but when he put it lower into the water, she hopped back in and after thinking about it for a while, decided maybe this would work. So she led her kids to their 'ramp' and off they went. It was interesting watching her 'think' - it really didn't take her long to see the solution Brad had provided. And yes, she brought the family into the hot tub while we were both in it. I think they are so used to seeing people in 'their pools' - they feel right at home with us. I was awestruck at this oh very simple, genius idea. My neighbor is so smart.

Thanks guys. As I started taking photos while they were in the pool, I was already planning my page. However, when the story switched to the hot tub, I was really excited about my page - I know it would be quite a story. I just never would've thought to put that chair into the water to create a ramp for them.
