How to Change Background Using AI in Photoshop
NOTE:
For Elements users . . .
Select Subject was introduced in PSE 2020; this new feature is powered by Adobe Sensei. You just click once and Elements automatically selects the main subject in your photo.
Refine Edge (updated version, brought over from Photoshop) was introduced in PSE 11. It allows you to output your selection to New Layer with Layer Mask.
Adobe Stock Integration was introduced in PSE 2024 (Advanced Edit > File > Search on Adobe Stock > Backgrounds).
Replace Background was introduced in PSE 2018 (Guided Edit > Special Edits > Replace Background).
