Thanks for sharing Buckskin. I have never been in one of those "Combines". I hear that some of them are fully air conditioned with a stereo system and computerised gps tracking. (Not sure if they also have a coffee machine!) Were you the driver or just a "guest"?

Kind regards Chris On this particular event I was sort of a necessary guest; as, something about the hopper monitor was not working properly and my job was to step out on the veranda occasionally and check how full the 200-plus bushel hopper was getting.
Yes, that machine has all the features you mentioned; you can see the A/C vents above the windshield in the second picture.
That field is so long and the beans so thick that we could not make an entire round before the hopper was full.
