Spent about 8 hours (in total) on Tuesday and Thursday at a local lake where snow geese amass for the migration south. There were about 40,000 snow geese there yesterday.
Yesterday, I schlepped a camp chair and sat at the edge of the lake for 3 hours. I was dressed in camo and partly hidden by bulrushes. Sunny with little to no wind. A flotilla of snow geese and other waterfowl swam within about 35 metres. (100+ feet.) Great way to spend an afternoon. I took over 1,000 photos yesterday and selected about 120 for considering. Here are a few shots that I edited late last night. Could take a day or two....

Northern harrier hawk search for a meal
These are indeed snow geese. This shows and adult dark-morph snow goose with two juveniles. Normal people call them "blue geese."
