1964 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible
I was born in the back seat of a 1957 Pontiac Star Chief Bonneville, Bone White with Oxblood interior, in the parking lot at the back door to Dr. Peck's office; and, my father kept a new Bonneville every year after that until 1975, when he got a Grand Prix instead.
That Grand Prix was a good car, but it wasn't the car a Bonneville was.On the Grounds of the Historic Thomas House Hotel

Thanks for sharing Buckskin. They don't make em like they used to! Those old vehicles had integrity!
Kind regards Chris

I go to a few classic car shows; and, what always jumps out at me is how much nicer, more comfortable, classy, and more luxurious the cheaper poor man's versions of those old cars are than the best of what is available today.
And, back in those days, even the poor people went places.

Lovely car. Love your story. I had an expensive fling with a 1940 Pontiac businessman's coupe. My son built it for me...we chose to do a "street rod" vs resto. It was sweet but I did not drive it much so I sold it to him for $1. He spent about 2,000 hours over five years working in it. He drives it a lot and that's great. " born in the back seat" Here's a similar one. Back 20 years, our son and daughter-in-law lived in a small town about 45 minutes from the regional hospital. It's long story but the short version is that our grandson was born in the back of their Dodge Minivan about one mile from the hospital. Before he was born, they were considering "Van" as his first name, but chose "Adam" instead before he was born. However his name is "Adam Van ____" Too funny.

First line of a George Thorogood song?
