I now need to run three three copies of Photoshop Elements; one on a laptop and two on each of my pcs, at different locations.
I own PSE 11 plus an upgrade to PSE 13 via download. Someone has now kindly paid for me to get another PSE 13 today, cheaply via Amazon, which I believe is eligible for a free upgrade to PSE 14. So I have the required licenses.
My problem is how I now wish to proceed. The Win 7 Home Premium pc with the PSE 11 + 13 upgrade I wish to replace with the new PSE 13 so that that machine can be upgraded to PSE 14 and Win 10 later.
My other pc, also Win 7 Home Premium - later Win 10, will then take the PSE 11 + PSE 13 upgrade. I will be taking, initially, a large hard drive with a copy of my current main machines images and the catalog folder; although over time this and the main machines image files will differ.
My Win 10 Laptop will take the second allowed copy of the new PSE 13 + the 14 upgrade. This will only have a limited set of images; mainly those I take on trips away.
I have tracked down the catalog and thumbe cache for the current installation:-
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs and made a complete copy of this folder.
To start with I intend to deactivate the PSE 11 + 13 upgrade and then uninstall 11 and 13 and then install the new PSE 13 on that. Then, when I next visit my other location, install the PSE 11 + 13 upgrade to the machine there.
If I follow this route am I likely to run into problems with clashes of files and/or catalogs. Need I actually uninstall PSE 11 and 13 upgrade or is that advisable anyway?
Any advice please?
