I am trying to download some eBooks from my Library. They download with the File ending ACSM and Windows 7 64bit is unable to open them . Have done Google search and apparently I need a program called Adobe Digital Edition. Can somebody help me please with the exact instructions how to do all this ,so I am able to open the eBooks. Thanks .Storm.

Thank you Sepiana. The Install operation went well & I thought I had done the other part correctly. My e book was in My Documents but when I went to Open it got an Error Message. Digital Editions unable to download. Error getting license License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED
It did ask for a Vendor ID and I did not give one . I was frantically thinking what was the correct full name of my Library. Only a second went by & then I got this Error. The icon or picture that was shown AFTER clicking on Open was " Getting Started with Adobe Editions " not the Library book. The file was named " Cottage at Glass Beach " but there was a brown ADE icon on the front which was not there before. Hope you can understand my explanation Sepiana I am anything but technical. Storm

Thank you Sepiana . Its bedtime here & I have a Doctors apt noontime so I will check it all out tomorrow evening. I think I am going to go back to paperbacks its a lot less stressful. I don't really want to read ebooks on my Windows desktop, but as I am having trouble getting used to my I PAD I thought I would try out the process on here. Thanks. Storm

Good morning Sepiana I realized that my email address which I used for my ID when I joined Adobe around 10 years ago is an old one and no longer Valid. Would it be better if I changed this email address with Adobe before I try to sort out the Error message that I got with ADE ? Maybe this mistake might have caused this error message. Thanks. Storm
