I just received an email to advise that Topaz have released a new plug-in Texture Effects.Until the 20-Nov-2015 they have a reduced price of US$49.99 (normal price will be US$69.99). There is as ever a free trial.

I downloaded the trial and thought I would share my first go with you all. Here is the original photo: And here it is having used the Scratched Bronze effect: I like the fact that you can log into your account from this plug-in and upload your own effects you have created as well as being able to download effects created by others. I will have to do a lot more playing around with this new Topaz offering, but I think I am going to like it!

Simone, thanks for the heads up! Downloaded and installed. Now I just have to play with it. Due to my experience with the Topaz products, I didn't bother with the trial version; I just went ahead and purchased it.

I should also point out that the integration of your own textures into the program is a great bonus!!!

My Texture Effects loads into Elements 14 just fine and the thumbnails work, but once I choose a thumbnail and hit OK, the effect won't load into Elements. I get a message saying: 'Display Driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows8(R) stopped responding and has successfuly recovered."
I have an Intel i7-4700HQ, 16GB RAM, 1.5 TB HD, with 16 GB DDR3L Memory. My computer is not yet a year old. Surely it should run these effects? It runs Topaz Impressions and the onOne suite just fine.
I closed out all my applications, made sure the display adapter was updated and restarted. I then closed down any application that I thought might affect memory.
Is this happening to anyone else? ....can anyone tell me what is wrong?

I have an Intel i7-4700HQ, 16GB RAM, 1.5 TB HD, with 16 GB DDR3L Memory From the error message you included "Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers...", I'm going to guess you don't have a separate graphics card and are using the built-in Intel graphics. Since it is a new computer, and a higher-end one based on the i7 processor, that should be sufficient to run the programs. I would try upgrading the drivers. If you go to Intel's site, they have a tool that will scan your system and look for driver updates for Intel products. That should find your graphics driver and let you know if an update is needed.

Here is an update......after crashing my system totally on Friday 13th so that it needed to be reinstalled at a significant cost.......it turns out that although my system is super-powerful, it has two graphics cards, one of which is proprietary to ASUS and which does not work 100% with Windows 10. So far, Asus does not have an updated driver to fix the problem. The tech I took the system to tried reverting the driver back to Windows8 and it worked perfectly with Topaz Textures; however, Windows now has an automatic update which can't be turned off, and which updated the driver back to Windows10. ...so until ASUS fixes the problem with its drivers, I am out of luck concerning Topaz Textures....and it looks so promising.
....sigh.........so I guess it being Friday the 13th really didn't cause the problem.......
I just wanted to alert anyone else who gets the "Display Driver Intel HD Graphics for Windows8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered" error, so that they don't end up crashing their system beyond recovery. I am paranoid about losing data, but I still managed to lose a month of raw files and .psd files...... The raw files are still on my camera, but the .psd files are gone.
