Don't know if anyone can help me with this. I have Windows 7. My Photoshop Elements 2, was working fine. A few months ago, I decreased the size of the Tools window. Last week, I decided I preferred it at its normal size. But I just can't remember how to do it. I have been through everything and everywhere, and can't find any information. So I decided to reinstall the program. As soon as I put the disc in, the uploading window for my camera came up.(see below). After several tries, I put another disc in. The exact same thing happened. A friend tried with her Elements disc. No luck. Now, I am completely stuck.

whippet,
seems your computer doesn't recognize what it needs to do with the disk. Have you checked that you have set it up for AutoPlay?
To do so open AutoPlay by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking AutoPlay.
This may not be the issued, but let's start with the simple and obvious ones.

Or, more directly, just look at the disc in Windows Explorer and double-click on the setup.exe program.

I eventually found autoplay. Its box was already checked.
I have not used Explorer for years. Until recently, I used Firefox. I changed to Comodo Ice Dragon. Sorry Major, I just don't understand what you mean. When I insert the disc, the only thing which comes up, is the window I put here earlier. When I had XP, I knew how to get setup.exe. Now I haven't got a clue.

I said Windows Explorer, not Internet Explorer. The latter is a web browser, the former is a way to look at your files.
Do this: with your disc in the drive, double-click on My Computer, find your disc drive, double-click it, then find setup.exe and run that.

Easy when you know how, isn't it. Many thanks, Major.
