if you are really into digital painting, I highly recommend Dynamic Auto Painter (standalone). It is worth every penny. Sepiana - How would you compare that to Topaz Impression?

Andy,
Dynamic Auto Painter is in a class by itself; it’s many notches above Topaz Impression. It basically works like this. You load an image and DAP uses it to paint an image in the painting style you selected. However, it doesn’t use filters or paints on the image itself; it is more like a painter in real life -- looking at an image and painting it on a blank canvas.
DAP offers five modules -- Painter, Advanced, Canvas, Material, and Overlay. You use these modules to tweak the built-in presets to your heart’s content -- brushes (size, pressure, detail, etc.), canvas texture, paint material, color pigment, overlays, and the list goes on.
It also has masks (detail, defocus, etc.); adjustments (Levels, Hue/Saturation, Brightness/Contrast); rotate and crop tools; and plug-ins such as lens and perspective correction.
You basically load an image, select a painting style, adjust the settings to your liking, and click on the Start button. The painting process will begin. You can let the process continue to completion or you can stop it at any time if you like what you see. You can also "guide" the brushes to any area on the painting if you think something needs a little more attention. In other words, you can do some tweaking even while the painting process is going on.

Wow! So much to study....This will keep me busy awhile.
Thanks everyone. If I ever get something I like, I'll send it along.
