Hi, Whilst I'm awaiting my Elements 7 for dummies to arrive would you be so kind to advise steps for adding a shadow to a png image.
Many thanks.

Hi, and welcome to the PSE&M forum.
The answer kind of depends on what you want to add shadowing to.

You may want to check the first two tutorials in my earlier post. I believe they will accomplish what you want. BTW, you don't have to wait for Elements 7 for Dummies to arrive; you can download the User Guide for this version HERE.

Hi The second video is what I will use. I also like how in the other video the man was cut out from the background.

Sepiana - you did it again. I learned something - and this time, I doubt I ever knew it.
In the first video, he said - after you apply the shadow - no matter which method you use - you reopen the settings menu and you can move the shadow around by clicking on the photo (the shadow moves out from underneath the photo.)
Brilliant. I will definitely use that technique.
It's amazing how much I don't know even after using PSE for 10 years.

Thank you Sepiana for your second link to the David Asch video. Great shadow technique using a selection to split the shadow. I would never have thought of doing that.
