PSE14 tool option problem

Been using PSE14 for just over a year. This week I went into guided edit and worked on a image. Then went back to Expert mode using the guided edit link to it. When I click on any of the tools .... the tool options and box for them does not show up where the photo bin should be. No way to change any of the setting for any of the tools. First I tried a reboot of the computer - no change. Then uninstalled PSE14 did a reboot and reinstalled it. It did the update from Adobe. Still had the same problem. Tried toggling back and forth between Expert -> Guided -> Expert and that seem to take care of it... got the tool options back. But this morning when working on another image and all was working correctly until I went into Guided edit and used darken/lighten and brighten/contrast edits. Came back out of those using the guided edit link back to Expert.... and no tool options again!!! This time, toggling from Expert -> Guided -> Expert did not do it.   Help!

I just tried this and cannot duplicate your problem.

Are you able to see this at the bottom of your work area?



If so, did you click on Tool Options?

After 2 hard shut-downs on the computer and opening/closing of PSE14 between them - finally got the lower section you are pointing to to pop-up. It was gone yesterday. Not sure what is happening with it. It does work so I can see the tool options and that brings up the selections for whatever tool I am using.
