Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping. You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE:
I am assigning no theme this week. It is your turn! Pick a theme which appeals to you, grab your camera, and capture something which will be an interpretation of the theme you chose. Just follow the rules delineated above. Also, let us know what your theme is and how your image relates to it. Have fun!

Thanks for the open theme Sepiana .. I'm going to go with Lifeguard Shack because I don't think I've ever seen it as a theme before.

Great idea Sepiana to have an open themed challenge. Mine is 'festivals'. This is an image taken last night at the Sydney Vivid festival. It goes on for 3 weeks and is all about light, music and ideas.

I am submitting two themes, following my stroll in our local park this morning. The first theme is anything to do with religion. I've taken a shot of our local church. The second theme is tree or trees. My contribution is a weeping willow, one of the most picturesque of trees. Dennis

Bill - Great choice of theme! I don't remember having seen it before either. I love the way you composed your image -- the Lifeguard Shack popping up in the corner of the frame. Quite effective!
Sydney - Very interesting choice of theme! Your image really captured the spirit of the Vivid Festival. Beautiful colors! The silhouette was a bonus. Well done!
Dennis - You chose two very interesting themes. I really like the "anything to do with religion" theme -- very original and full of possibilities. Beautiful images! The clarity and details are amazing, particularly in the church image.

BOTTLES
Years ago, cooling towers were known as 'milk bottles'.
Bottle of Notes is inspired by the history of Captain Cook, born in Middlesbrough featuring words from his logs as well as poetry

I'll go with a nice simple theme "kids" as this is the time of the year here when there are a lots around - here are four barn swallow kids wanting to be fed under a pavilion in a nearby park. I was helping out at a car show there today and there was lots of activity and loud music but I don't think they were singing and the parents were very busy keeping those hungry mouths fed. Tony

whippet – Very creative! One theme, Bottles, but two different interpretations. Well done. I really like how you framed your capture of the so-called "milk bottles"
Tony – You did a great job here. Up close & personal with four adorable kids. Beautiful image! I love it!

I love old dilapidated buildings as a photo theme. So, I decided to stretch things a bit and look for such buildings but in the world of birds. I found this bird feeder which has seen better days due to weather exposure and marauding wildlife (deer, raccoons, etc.).
