As usual, I am posting this early as work will not allow me to post this in a timely fashion tomorrow. However, as it is Monday morning in some parts of the world all is well.
What another great week it has been for new photos in the galleries - thank you everyone for posting your images, but as you know, we can only highlight a few of them.
So, here are my choices for this week:
Lunch Stop by dandc - A great nature portrait reminding us all of the vulnerability of the young and the strength of their mothers. The sharpness of the image is superb.
Oak leaf by blackmutt - Autumn encapsulated in one image. I like everything about this, but particularly the texture of the wood.
Craquelure Twirl by tpgettys - Another great twirl, but with a twist (pardon the pun) - wonderfully done.
This week's IOW goes to A Rose in the Midst of Autumn by Sydney - The dreamy quality of this rose really struck me; it makes it look so very fragile and yet the colours are so powerful in contrast. The post processing really adds to the dreaminess.
