When I first start a new thread, I get an email notification when someone posts a reply to my new thread.
After that I have never gotten anymore email notifications. I do not know if that has happened until after I return here and find notifications in my profile, bookmarks, or another area at top of the screen.
Should I be getting email notification all the time when someone posts a reply in a thread I am active in?

Hi Charles,
I recommend revisiting your notification settings, just to be sure you have them set as you like.
Click Profile on the main menu bar,then click the Edit Profile button (top right). You will be presented with a several taps across the top; click the Notifications tab. The Email column is for emails send to you when the associated event occurs, and checking the Forum check box will cause a bubble above Profile when you visit the forum.
Give it a go, and let me know if you have further questions about this.

The only thing I did have active was "New Thread" set to weekly. I changed that to instant.
I changed the following to instant:
New Post, Quote, Tag, Bookmark, Participated, and Mass Email.
What does "Smart" do/mean in the option list?
What does "Someone Tags you in a post" mean?

You are welcome Charles. However, I do not know what Smart means at this time. You Tag a member in a post by entering their username preceded by a '@'; if I enter '@' followed immediately by "inspeqtor" it is turned into a tag: Inspeqtor (hover the mouse cursor over the tag to see it). |

Copy the link that is in your browser address bar; it will look something like: http://photoshopelementsandmore.com/thread/360/toms-galleryClick Profile on the main menu bar, then click the Edit Profile button (top right). You will be presented with a several taps across the top; click the Personal tab. Paste the link to your gallery into the Signature box. Put this in front of the link: [a href="and put this after the link: "]My Gallery[/a]Let me know how it goes! |

Back to the email notifications... I still have not found the correct one to click to get notifications of the threads which I have been active in.... I found the one for every new thread, which I don't want to I undid that one.......
I did not get notification on this thread.

That is interesting because I DO have that one checked for daily, same as yours...... But it does not seem to work for me..... I have mine set to Smart; I changed it to Instant and got many emails after a while, so I set it back to Smart. I will try Daily next to see if that works for me. |
