ATTENTION!!!
There is no longer a "next Sunday" posting deadline. You can grab your camera, take your photo, and post it in this thread any time you wish to.
Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed, but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

Frank, what a finding! You captured a piece of Americana. Beautiful colors and amazing details; sharp, crisp shot . . . from foreground to background.

It is the Pine Grove School house in Avon CT, it was in operation from 1865 until 1949.
Thanks for the comments!

Great composition (leading lines) and DOF. Your image exudes cheerfulness and the excitement of the first day of school. Well done!
BTW, what a neat "welcome" idea! Kudos to the St. Mary's Academy!

Another old local schoolroom - built in the 1870's - and, needless to say not used for a few years. I tried a bracketed 3 three exposure shot as it was indoors with just the natural light from the windows and merged them in Lightroom. Was quite pleased with the result and how easy it was to do. Tony, what a shot! You nailed it with a bracketed exposure! The details are so sharp and clear. Beautiful!
