Some weeks ago, I am fairly certain the discussion took place at Elements Village, I inquired as to how to get rid of the annoying Photoshop advertisement message that accompanies every e-mail generated within Elements..... "I sent these photos using etc., etc." .......
Sepiana supplied me with instructions as to how to go into the program files and delete the offending text.
Okay, today, I finally decided to take time to dig into the file and eliminate all the unnecessary text.
I typed in the provided coordinates and found myself in a folder containing five files.
The bottom file contained the "here are the photos I wanted to share" line that always get plastered on the "subject" line of an email.
The next up from the bottom contained the "I sent these photos..." line.
One at a time, I opened each of these files, first using "notepad" and then trying "wordpad"; in all instances I simply deleted the text, just as I would when deleting unwanted material in making a post on a forum.
Once the text was deleted, I click "File" and then "Save"; a file saving dialogue box displays showing the five files, including the one I am trying to alter.
The file name is already entered in the space provided and I click "Save"
A pop-up box informs me that a file by that name already exists and asks if I want to replace it; I click "okay" or "yes" or whatever, and I then get a pop-up box saying "Access Denied"
I have tried this from several different angles and always get the "access denied" warning.
I am afraid of the outcome if I just delete the file itself.
What am I doing wrong
Thanks for reading.

Thank you, Sepiana. I followed the link and found instructions pertaining to my situation, printed them, followed them, and managed to once-and-for-all get rid of those annoying default messages. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
