Had to wait a week for the right weather to try my fisheye lens on a local field. Needed blue sky and clouds to work and we've either had one or the other recently but not both together! Fisheye lenses distort everything except along the centre line which is where I positioned the horizon before cropping - you don't notice the distortion on the field as it been recently had the soya bean crop combined and the cloud distortion just makes the clouds look like they are pointing into the distance. Tony, great composition and DOF! And . . . no distortion of the horizon line with your fisheye lens? Impressive! I love how the clouds got distorted. They just seem to be moving away from us, adding a feeling of motion to your image.

This is a photo I took from the Calgary Tower last week while in Canada. The land surrounding Calgary is quite flat, but looming far in the distance on the horizon can be seen the Canadian Rockies which were quite impressive looking (click on image for a more detailed view).

Sydney, you captured an impressive landscape. Great composition -- flat land in the foreground and the horizon/mountains in the background. The clouds add another dimension to this image.

It's a deliciously blustery day here with thunderstorms and high winds predicted.....stopped by the beach earlier while the sun was playing "Hide and Seek". Helen, beautiful image! I really like how the landscape seems to be divided into layers from the foreground to the background (different textures, different colors) with all the elements drawing the viewer's eyes to the horizon.

View of the Mississippi River taken today on a short road trip to Bellevue for lunch. Bob, quite a view you captured! I really like the angle (perspective) you used to take your shot. Great job!

Helen, what a capture! Horizon + one rainbow + a hint of a second rainbow. Your timing was perfect!

Early morning at Rentschler Field Andy, great capture! I really like the silhouetted effect, the cropping, and . . . a perfectly leveled horizon. You nailed it!
