Lovely photo Sepiana for this challenge. I used a brownish texture Sydney kindly made available to all who wanted it. (thank you Sydney) I used a luminosity blend mode and a layer mask with some brushing to create this effect.

I have many of Joel Olive's textures. I am curious. Which one did you use? It worked really well as a background.

This image almost seems too pretty to mess with! I decided to give it a sepia tone with NIK Silver Efex:

- Applied the Find Edges filter (Filter>Stylize> . . .). - Applied Topaz Clean. - Applied a texture by Deluzion. - Ran the Chromantic action by Panos. - Applied the Lighting Effects filter (Filter>Render . . .).

Sepiana, it's called "September 2013 Freebie4"
I picked it because I was looking for a green to complement the flowers and because of its symmetry. I did not blend it.
Textures have the unevenness, perhaps one could call it tiny edges, that provide paint stroke filters with a lot to work on.

Rita, thanks! I do have that texture. I need to remember to use his textures more.

I used a Clear Grunge overlay from Texture Lovers and gave it a Linear Burn blend mode.

Tried to bring out more detail in the sunflowers Pete, and what a great job you did! The details are amazing. Beautiful!
I am going to put you on the spot. Which technique did you use?
