ATTENTION!!!
There is no longer a "next Sunday" posting deadline. You can grab your camera, take your photo, and post it in this thread any time you wish to.
Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

Two photos taken this morning:
At my advanced age, I am thankful to wake up each morning and find myself still alive and kicking!

Dennis,
You raised the bar here with your interpretations of this week's theme.
- Being alive and kicking! This is the quintessential "Something to be thankful for". This image belongs in an inspirational poster! Beautiful and meaningful!
- You did a great job capturing the colors of autumn and at the same time reminding us of "Something to be thankful for" -- being able to see.

Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate the harvest but for the farmers around here the recent cool wet weather put a halt to it. Today the sun came out, the temperature rose, the fields dried out and there were a lot of thankful farmers who were back at work. Here's one combining the corn field. Tony

Today was bitterly cold, so I was profoundly thankful to have brilliant blue skies and no wind to speak of as I walked with my son on the outskirts of London.

I am thankful for dedicated vets. Tasha, my eldest girl, has been seriously ill this week. (This picture has hung on my wall for a few years. I took the photograph today.)

Sorry to hear about Tasha whippet. I hope she is on the mend now. What would we do without our dedicated vets.

The picture had been made into an oil painting effect. It hasn't shown well on here. Tasha won't get cured.

One of our cats was ill last week, but he seems to be on the mend. We are thankful for that.

Tony Tony, this is a shot with just a few elements yet one that says a lot. Great composition and beautiful colors! Mother Nature did give the farmers something to be thankful for. Glad you were able to capture the moment.

Brenda, this is indeed a beautiful blue sky and you successfully captured it. I really like how you composed your shot with the sky framed by the tree tops. Great job!
