Welcome to our first IOW of 2018!
I have to admit, it was slim pickings this week; I assume everyone was still recovering from the holiday season.
This week's honourable mentions go to:
Sydney with "Behold the light" - I found this very intriguing and the more I look the more I really like the use of the little balls of light and the line they create in this image.
Next up is srmoment with "movin' on" - I have been enjoying Pat's recent creations, and this is another outstanding one. I love the fact that the overall image colour is a palette of blue (my favourite colour!). Even though the image is still, there is a sense of motion being conveyed.
And finally, the IOW this week goes to jjr1770 (Judy) for "The Rose" - The delicate rose is perfectly partnered with the texture and background. A great example on how a simple image can be totally transformed into something special with a good background and appropriate textures applied. Congratulations Judy!
Thank you to everyone who uploaded photos to their galleries this past week. I would like to encourage those of you who participate in some of our challenges to consider uploading your creations to your galleries. For instance, there were some fantastic creations in the recent CE Challenge, some of which I would have loved to have included here today. The IOW can only function if our members upload to their galleries, so we are totally depend on you, our members, and we as judges would love to be able to include some of the great creations that come about through our wonderful challenges!
