ATTENTION!!!
There is no longer a "next Sunday" posting deadline. You can grab your camera, take your photo, and post it in this thread any time you wish to.
Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE
The idea for this week’s theme came from this image by Dennis, one of his submissions to fulfill last week’s Cropped Square theme. In composing his shot, he followed the Rule of Odds (five birds). This rule states that images are more visually appealing when there is an odd number of subjects. So, grab your camera and don’t be afraid to go odd!

One not Two. A few days ago, I adopted this little beauty from the local animal shelter. I was very tempted to adopt her sister also but decided one was all I could handle. preview.ibb.co/fgXs1w/IMG_0742_copy.jpg

Well done, you. This is what I love to hear. She looks beautiful. I can't enter mine, as I have just taken on my 4th.

Two photos taken during this morning's stroll, now that the weather has turned a little milder for a day or two. By the way, does anybody know what kind of ducks are in the first shot? They are becoming quite common. Are they recent immigrants, like the Canada Geese? preview.ibb.co/grFytb/Odd_1.jpg

Looking forward to seeing more pictures of her.

I am curious. How close were you to the action?

Sepiana -
This was probably about 15-20 feet away.
I'm granted floor-seating, trackside; so I'm close to it all. Shooting with a 70-200, f2.8 lets me get tight on the faces. I balance the lack of ambient light with 2 off-camera speedlights.
Maybe that was too much information. ;-)

I have agonized about that lens for the past several years. I know it would help me get better shots at my granddaughter's gymnastics meets but I'm afraid it's too heavy for me. I REALLY need to rent it!

I really appreciate you taking the time to satisfy my curiosity. Thanks!
I am a big fan of your roller derby shots. They are amazing! They really get the viewer into the action. Keep up the good work!
