Image of the Week: 25 Jun - 1 Jul

Gosh, there were some seriously creative submissions this week. I'm sorry that I don't have the time to do them all full justice as I'm a bit rushed so I'm judging and commenting on instinct and gut feel this time.

Honorable mentions go to:

Simone's The Boat. I'm sorry, don't be offended, but this image is just plain mad. It is like a Monty Python / Spike Milligan bit of lunacy but it is certainly memorable and makes you stop and look. And for me that makes a cracking image.



dandc's Early In The Morning. Gorgeous subtle palette of greys and lovely lines right across the letterbox format means I can look at this and get lost in it all day. Really wish I was there.



hmca's In The Upstairs Window. Spooky spooky spooky. And the slight unnaturalness of the harsh silhouette adds to the spookiness.



And this week's IOW is...

jjr1770's Interesting Cloud. I find cloudscapes can often be a let down - what looks great in nature doesn't quite get captured in camera, but not in this case. Beautiful details of the trailing wisps picked out and set against a silhouetted horizon.
