Images in "Individual User Galleries" are quite small. I posted a pano and a comment was posted, "It's too bad pano's come in so small."
Is there a way to view gallery images in a larger size?
Thanks,
Clive

Hi Clive, I don't know if the admins have any flexibility at their disposal to customise the way images are displayed in the galleries. But the good news is, if they haven't, is that you can use bbcode to point to an enlarged version of an image on the www. You can use the url to an existing enlargement you have already uploaded in "Show Your Work" or wherever else or upload an enlarged version separately. I tried this on my recently uploaded Cradle Mountain photo and also on my Wineglass Bay panorama in my PSE Gallery. 1. Create a new post in a thread somewhere or edit an existing one. It doesn't matter. 2. Go into BBCODE mode of the post editor (button near botton left corner) 3. Upload the enlarged image via imgbb like normal. 4. Copy and paste into Notepad or any text editor (if you use the clipboard, it might get lost) the url of the enlargement from the code generated by the upload to imgbb 5. Cancel out of the the post editor. It's purpose was solely to upload an image and copy its imgbb url 6. Upload a thumbnail version (or the enlarged version if you like) to your gallery 7. Before submitting the new image to your gallery add the url you copied in step 4 to the comments field of your gallery image with an explanatory note. Something like (without the curly brackets) View enlargement: [url]{url from step 4}[/url]
8. Submit the new image to your gallery and when visitors click the gallery thumbnail, they will be presented with the default "enlargement" with the link to the imgbb enlargement in the comments field for them to click if they wish. The bbcode and links work fine in my 2 gallery images I referred to earlier. Hope this helps

Hi Clive - Without getting into the technical details, the short answer is "no" when you use the imgbb plug-in. If you post images via imgbb using their website, or Flickr, or another site and then link to them from the gallery, the results are different.

Hi again Clive,
Since my previous post I went and tidied up the links to the enlargements in my gallery images (mainly the panoramas).
A neater look imo is just a link labelled "View Enlargement" which points to the enlargement instead of "View Enlargement" followed by the actual url.
So another option for step 7, if you prefer the simpler neater look for the link, is:
[url={url from step 4}]View Enlargement[/url] (without the curly brackets) This will display just View Enlargement which when clicked will take the viewer to the url from step 4

Hi Clive, I don't see any links in any of your gallery photos Below are the screen shots for when I set up the "View Enlargement" link in my Wineglass Bay panorama in my gallery (column 3, row 2) You can see here the "View Enlargement" link (in red above the Comments label) when visitors first click the gallery thumbnail. In the comments field, add the bbcode for the link to the enlargement's url as per my instructions in my previous post. This the imgbb enlargement that is displayed when a visitor clicks the newly created "View Enlargment" link The panorama is clearer in my gallery. Hope this helps
