A few years ago, I had a program which stored dates for me (for appointments etc).
On the given date, a reminder would appear on my desktop.
I can't remember what the program was called. It wasn't like those which put a post it note on the desktop which then stays there until the date.
I don't suppose anyone can help me with this?
It was a free download program.

There are a couple of these. I use a paid one. Google "free to do list software" or "free reminder software".

If you use Google Chrome you could try Keeper; it is a list app but you can also set yourself reminders. I use it for all my to do lists and set myself certain reminders through this.

I've used Google Calendar for years. It sends emails to my Gmail to remind me. Very handy and has many options. Great for repeat events: weekly, monthly or annually. You can put a person's birthday in it and set it to repeat yearly. It reminds me to pay monthly bills like VISA or Mastercard; reminds me that recycle is Fridays and compost and garbage are Mondays. Handy.

I don't have Chrome, Simone. As for emails - I sometimes don't go into mine for ages, Clive - which, unfortunately causes me problems at times.
Thank you for the suggestion, MM. Now I have an idea of a subject title, I will do a search.
