Well "On Your Mark" certainly got some creative entries last week! Maybe because the black and white challenge is "Houses" is the reason that this villa popped out at me on Pixabay. Regardless, I do think the possibilities are endless . So get those creative juices flowing!

What a great image for the challenge. Images from Pngtree, Pngimg and from a freebie kit - Gothica. The Ghosties and Ghoulies Ball...

Atlantis found I am not good at layers and masks so this is pretty "hack" - quick selection tool to isolate house - dropped into blank canvas - added pale aqua layer and created sunbeams with soft brush eraser at minimal opacity .. ooops...my sunbeams are at the wrong angle. Oh well. - snitched a couple of underwater fish scenes off the Internet (no references) and pasted on top and harmonized colors - fiddle fiddle Crude result.

Nice going everyone....however, Rita's is the only one I might want to check into Helen, basically this is an exercise in the use of Blend If. I don't know if that is available in the latest version of PSE, but I believe you have full PS. This was my workflow:
Changed the starter with Topaz Restyle to a combination of colors that made selection simple.
Embedded the building in the background landscape (from Pixabay) with Blend If Grey. This put the trees which are part of the background image into the foreground.
Used a second layer of the building to mask back full opacity where transparency (mostly fog) was inappropriate.
Several layers of cloning to correct small imperfections.
If you have not used Blend If, there are many tutorials and explanations, which really didn't do much for me when I first explored it years ago. It's one of those things you just have to experiment with, which is fun because you can watch every change of your images while you are moving the sliders around. There is also Blend If Red/Blue/Green.
Hope this helps. Rita
