While entries were a bit light in the member galleries this week there were still some quality images which I was quite impressed with and would like to comment on before announcing the image of the week honour. Honourable Mentions (as they appeared in the gallery): Eagle vs. Otter - Andy
What an amazing capture! Sometimes one is lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time and this looks like it might have been one of those occasions. It must have been awesome seeing something as majestic as an eagle and I am so glad that Andy shared this image with us. A beacon – dandc
Another great nature image, I like how this one highlights the grandeur of the great outdoors and how it totally overwhelms the beacon (which I am sure wasn’t exactly small). I feel Dan has done a splendid job with the processing of this image. Reflections – pontiac1940
I love the simplicity and painterly feel to this image – very much reminds me of a Monet painting with the lovely green and yellow tones (presumably from the trees) reflecting off the ripples. A top notch image, Clive! Image of the Week (IOW) Behind the stands at Lord’s – alexr
This is a superb black and white image and I love the interplay of light and shadow within it. There is great clarity and detail throughout the image and I love how the rectangular windows on the left side and the beautiful long arches on the right side cascade inwards towards the centre leading to convergence. A fantastic image, Alex and one I feel is well deserving of the Image of the Week award.

Gosh, Sydney, thanks for that, really unexpected. Really appreciate the detailed comments, it is always lovely to understand why people like particular things. And well done to Andy, Dan and Clive for your great images; all equally worthy of winning.

Thanks Sydney/Michael and congrats to alexr and other mentions...and thanks for including my reflections photo. Should explain that I've been on the road for a few days with limited access/time for internet .. so I've been quiet and not had much opportunity to take photos. Thanks again! Clive
