Lovely images this week everyone!!! Well done! My choices: Fall colors by Pete B – love the vibrance and rich fall colors. The highway leads the eye into the image and the shadows/phone lines lend a sense of motion heading in the direction of the arrow on the sign. Crystal Springs by Billz – what a wonderful mysterious, misty, moody image. I would love to see this in a bigger size. Welcome to Paradise by tpgettys – I just love this abstract. The colors are wonderful, the design captures the viewer's attention and if you look at it long enough, it seems to be dancing! and DRRRUUUMMM ROLLLLLL....... IMAGE OF THE WEEK: The Onion by HMCA – Another beauty by Helen. There was something about the simplicity of this image and the melding of the purple, beige, grey and white colors that I kept coming back to. My onions never look this good!

Thanks for judging, Pat, and the honorable mention. Congratulations to Pete, Bill and Helen's very uncannily captivating onion.
A note about the original used to create my mandala: my nephew had given his phone to his 6-year old daughter as they were escaping the fire engulfing Paradise, California. She captured a blurry image of the "Welcome to Paradise" sign that was ablaze as they passed it. That was what inspired the orange glow drop-shadow. Like most residents they lost their home, so they have been staying with us for a while.

Oh how awful. I saw videos of people driving through the fires and it was terrifying just watching the video. Your nephew and his family had a very dangerous situation as I have heard that fires can travel up to 100 miles per hour. I'm so sorry they lost their home and here's hoping the future is brighter for all of you.
