A mother hen or swan if you are particular...lol.
Played with this two different ways - does anyone have a preference and if so for which version?

Interesting, Lillias. When I first looked at it I preferred the lighter one. But the more I compared the two I moved to the darker one. The dark background lets the swan get all the attention. With the white surround on the other one my eye is traveling around the frame. I also think there is a better balance between the star, the swan and the verse in the darker version.

Thank you Clive and thanks Helen for your comments, really appreciated. I tend towards the darker one myself for the same reasons as you have given Helen. It’s just interesting from time to time to see the views of others to see if they accord with one’s own.

I also prefer the dark one. May I make one suggestion? I don't care for the lens flare, it has nothing to do with anything. What I would like is the moon, perhaps in its early phase, and no halo. Just a personal taste.

Thanks for your comments Rita and I take on board what you are saying although that item was meant to be a bright star and not a lens flare...lol. Anyway how is this...
