I must mention bobharron's 'Herons waiting for a treat'.

They are my favourite birds, and this picture really brought a smile to my face.

Dan, I have to agree with Margaret there is something very special about this scene.....it's almost like you are inviting the viewer into a secret place not known to many. Beautiful!

Thanks so much Whippet for selecting my photo as your IOW. I almost missed this scene while out on a lunchtime walk because it was quite a distance from the bridge I was crossing and I didn't notice the heron at first. Congratulations Bob on your shot being chosen as well! Looks like it's Heron week.
