The latest FF (67.0.1) has a nice feature named monitor
It will search known data breaches for your email address(es) and report which breaches contain your address

Thanks for the info Pete - Just to add to what you have said - you require to have signed up to a Firefox Account to avail yourself of the 'monitor' feature among others. A step I haven't taken although I do use the Firefox browser.

A step I haven't taken although I do use the Firefox browser. I think you only need to sign up with FF if you want ongoing monitoring of 1 or multiple email addresses and to be notified if a new breach is identified.
Otherwise, you can just enter an email address in the input box now and it will tell you if any breaches for that email address have been identified.
I haven't signed up with FF. Although this "monitor" is better than nothing, as far as I can tell it reports only email address breaches and any of your associated personal data associated with the breach that has also been stolen.
If personal details like name, address, DOB etc etc have been hacked/stolen but not the email address then this monitor probably won't know about it because the only input required is an email address and nothing else.
Anyway, I have switched from FF to Chrome for my default browser. I regularly change passwords on important online accounts.

I must learn to engage my brain before opening my mouth. You are of course correct Bailey. I saw the undernoted on the Mozilla site and went with that – didn’t realise that you only needed to take out an account if you wanted ongoing monitoring of 1 or multiple email addresses. ‘ Firefox Monitor 2.0 expands its capabilities to allow users with a Firefox account to monitor multiple email addresses and receive email alerts when any of them are involved in a known breach. A dashboard also helps to show the total number of known breaches in which your email addresses have been involved’.
