Here is an excellent video by George Peirson, of How To Guru's, showing how to use the color wheel to make your own gradients: (in this video, he has stated we could share the link) www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOrg2nvK13IIn this tutorial, he uses this site: color.adobe.com/createI found this helpful as a way of finding compatible color combo's even if I don't necessarily want to create gradients

Thanks, Janice. I know we have posted something about matching colors in the past but doing a quick search I wasn't able to find it.
Regardless, it is always a good idea to revisit topics that are so basic to good design.

I found this helpful as a way of finding compatible color combo's even if I don't necessarily want to create gradients Janice, thanks for posting this! Very helpful information. If anyone is interested, there is also a tutorial on how to use the Color Wheel and Color Schemes in our Digital Scrapbooking -- Resources sticky thread. See . . . Color Wheel and Color Schemes.

I know we have posted something about matching colors in the past but doing a quick search I wasn't able to find it. Helen, are you thinking of this thread . . . Creating Color Combinations? Somewhere in the discussion, there is some information on the Adobe Color Themes extension, showing how to access this panel inside Photoshop and how to add color to it.
