Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. - Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun. NOTE I am assigning no theme this week. It is your turn! Pick a theme which appeals to you, grab your camera, and capture something which will be an interpretation of the theme you chose. Also, let us know what your theme is and how your image relates to it. Have fun!

My theme is "ready" - these buds are ready to burst into life for the beginning of spring. Taken today as we take another walk in the park before being officially placed under house arrest due to this darned Virus! i.ibb.co/Sfz8cDZ/Buds.jpgDennis

I'll go with the signs of spring theme - we need some good signs and these snowdrops at least show that warmer weather is on the way here … Tony

Immersing oneself in a good book. Thanks for the versatile theme Sepiana, and letting us play indoors if needed.

I will give you a story along with my theme - Famous last words - NO MORE DOGS About 11 years ago when we lost a dog, my husband told me - no more dogs. After a few months, he said I could have another, so long as it was a small whippet.
Enter - no more dogs number 1. Tasha was a whippet, but not a small one.
Next time, exactly the same scenario.
Enter no more dogs no.2 . Milly is a small whippet disguised as a greyhound.
Enter No. 3, Jess, another not small whippet.
After I lost my husband four years ago . . . Enter no more dogs no.4. Libby, another small whippet disguised as a greyhound.
I lost Tasha a year ago. But as she was number 1 - then she had to go on. The other three pictures were taken today.

My theme for this week is "Community". In these times of fear and uncertainty, we have had ample proof of how our local community is pulling together to help anyone in need. We have already had two verbal offers of help with shopping from close neighbours, while these two written offers came today via the letterbox. How heartening to see people around you rallying around to help the older and more vulnerable among us. We, unfortunately, are in the former group and are having to practise "social distancing". Stay well, everybody! i.ibb.co/stt8Qj7/254-1.jpgBrenda

How nice, Brenda. Good to see community spirit is still alive. My next door neighbour rang me from the supermarket this morning. Was I still wanting frozen veg? She brought me some.

Dennis Dennis, simplistic composition, focal point on the ready-to-burst bud. In short, . . . you nailed this shot. A harbinger of Spring!
