When you are working on a project which involves changing layer blending modes, instead of scrolling up and down the menu, you can use a keyboard shortcut -- Alt-Shift-Letter/Opt-Shift-Letter. Ex.: Multiply > Alt-Shift- M/Opt-Shift- M.
NOTE No shortcuts are available for two blending modes -- Darker Color and Lighter Color. Make sure you don't have a "painting" tool activated when you do this. Otherwise, you will be changing the blending modes for that particular tool. Get into the habit of having the Move tool (V) activated for this tip to work properly.
