Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. - Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun. NOTE The idea behind this theme is to go for "Less is More". Focus your attention on the subject, avoid including elements which may distract the viewer from it, make use of negative space. In short, keep it simple!

Love the minimalist topic. I had planned on using it for the next Black and White Challenge so it was fun to think about images that would work well in color. Came up with these two while at a local park today......

Thought B&W would work for a minimalist photo taken while driving around trying out a new lens that arrived in the mail today - a 12mm wide angle from 7Artisans for my Fuji. Manual focus and the camera and the lens won't talk to each other but at a price I couldn't resist! Seems to work just fine. If you are looking for inspiration for this theme a good place to look is the Minimalist Photo Awards site and their 2020 winners Interesting theme and I hope to be back with more Tony

And one from me in B/W.......and again from above And a good one too! The dark pole against the light background is very effective - it almost looks like snow on grass but a bit too early for that in NJ! Tony

Inspired by Helen's "red leaf and old wood" submission. Highbush Cranberry ( Viburnum trilobum) berries in snow.

Came up with these two while at a local park today...... Helen, two great interpretations of this week's theme. My favorite is the second shot -- a bright read leaf contrasting with a grayish background.
