To be short, it has been stated that you can replace the default choice of skies by your own ones by continuing the guided edits in the perfect panorama in expert modes. - You click continue to get the option to continue in Expert mode and you get the following layer pallet:
The top layer is a composite of the underlying ones and must be hidden or deleted to show the layer substitution There is a 'layer group' you have to unfold to show the sky file to be replaced

Both solutions are teaching us something which can be applied to other customization needs: workarounds about presets/default assets or making more from guided edits by following in Expert mode. Examining the layer palette was first a mystery to me because I was not used to layer groups.

Here is a try of the tool - I did NO adjustment. I just selected one of the sky choices. The original sky was a flat grey sky with no clouds, nothing! Impressive for sure. i.ibb.co/gSyZc5V/DSC-5621.jpg
