Weekly Photo Challenge No. 287 - Neon Signs

Hi everyone,

Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.

- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else.
- Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation.

Not so easy to find neon around here as it's getting replaced by LED's but I knew just the spot and I was going to be in the vicinity at dusk this evening! Thanks kdcintx and Sepiana for the excuse to stop by Lola's.

This neon sign was animated, so I took two photos, aligned  and saved as a GIF. Wicked snow storm forecast for tonight and Sunday, but it already started Saturday morning.

Well it's not Lola's Lounge, but at least the Indian restaurant was open for take out. (If the sign looks familiar, the restaurant moved into an old Quizno's Subs location several years ago, the sign was there and it gave them one less thing to do before opening.)

As you begin to see the pink neon glow from blocks away you start to think that fun times lie ahead. And then you see that it's a hardware store which is a special kind of fun times. Regardless ... it's nice neon!

Tony, you knew the spot, the right time, and . . . you delivered. Quite a capture! You should give a copy of this image to the owners of Lola's.

Clive, nicely done -- creating an animated GIF to capture the animation of the sign. Very creative!
